Special COVID-19 Update
Hello Springs Journey Church Family,
By now you are more than aware of the situation with the health crisis caused by the COVID-19 virus sweeping across our country and around the world. I want to share with you what our response is now, and moving forward. I also want to address any questions you might have. As of today, Tuesday March 17th, our staff, board and myself after seeking wise counsel have decided we are suspending our activities for 3 weeks, or though April 5th. We will potentially meet on Easter morning if we have the "all clear". This means no youth group, prayer meeting, worship night, or Sunday morning in person services. We may need to continue to meet this way for an extended period beyond this. We'll let you know via email, social media and other outlets.
WE WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE OUR LIVE STREAM AT 10AM ON SUNDAY MORNINGS
You can watch our online service by clicking on this address: https://springs-journey-church.freeonlinechurch.com/live
or our church Facebook page; https://www.facebook.com/springsjourney/.
I encourage you to watch and participate in worship, giving, praying, and the message; as God has a word for us in this season.
My thoughts are this, the church was born for such a time as this. It's not about a building, pastor, denomination, or anything else except the people of God, (called one's), seeking Him, and sharing the light in the darkness. This decision is not based in fear gripping our hearts, but rather great faith in who Jesus Christ is and who the church of Jesus Christ is becoming.
This is our greatest hour not our darkest moment. It's time to rise up.
This is an opportunity to reach out to your neighbors and the elderly around you to see if there are ways you can be a blessing to them. Wednesday evenings I'll be going on Facebook live at 7:00 pm and giving a message. We will have prayer time, or maybe just worship together, so I encourage you to join in. This decision wasn't easy. If you are experiencing a financial hardship, or an emotional, spiritual, or physical issue during this time we NEED YOU to let us know so we may be of assistance.
It's no coincidence that we are in a series called Crushed, as that is what we are seeing take place all around us. Remember it is in the crushing season where the greatest wine is produced. It is often painful and can cause you to feel like you won't make it. However, remember this, God is with you and for you, you are not alone. I'll be continuing our series with a message, "What do you do when you don't know what to do?"
Here is a song that I believe will inspire and speak to your heart in this time, I pray it blesses you as it has blessed me; Let faith arise...
Please feel free to email us if you have questions or concerns during this time and one of our staff will get back you as quickly as possible. You may be receiving other correspondence from our Children's Director, Laura if you have kids. During this time you can use this link to continue your faithful giving https://pushpay.com/g/springsjourney?src=hpp
Be encouraged by the words of David in Psalm 91, "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty."
Remember above all else, YOU ARE LOVED.
